About Chester Ukes

We are Chester Ukes. We meet every other Tuesday at the Waverton Fellowship Hall.

We are a group of 26 like minded members who enjoy getting together and playing the Ukulele.

A typical evening starts at 7.00pm. We tune up and go through our set list of selected songs. We then break for a cuppa and a chat, just to catch up with everyone. We then play a variety of songs that members want to have a go at. The evening wraps up around 9.00pm.

As a Chester Ukulele Club we have played at various local events such as the Summer Strum Festival in Hoylake, Waverton Summer Fete, and the Chester Beer Festival, The Storyhouse, we have also played at numerous  social gatherings and weddings !
You may of caught us playing at Chester town Hall, or at the Band Stand on the River Dee. We started life as the Chester Ukulele Players, reforming early in 2015 as Chester Ukes, as we still had a passion to play.

We have a clear goal, to improve our Ukulele playing and have a bit of fun in the process. Playing the Ukulele will, without doubt put a smile on your face.

If you are interested in joining a Ukulele Club then Chester Ukes is for you. You will be made most welcome. Your only requirement is that you are over 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of the Ukulele, being able to play a few chords. Please use the ‘Contact’ section and get in touch. We will then arrange a time and date for you to come along and have a go. It’s as easy as that.

Happy strumming.
